Doug Beeler joined Chicago River Capital in 2009. He is the Portfolio Manager for, and an investor in, the Harbor Investment Fund, L.P. and has been so since its inception. Beeler has 30 years of experience in the financial markets. Prior to joining the Investment Manager he was a trader at Nottoway, LLC.Before that  Beeler was an independent arbitrage trader from 2004 to 2007. With his own capital at work, Beeler developed profitable trading strategies with a heavy focus on risk management. From  2001 to 2004, Beeler was a principal and trader for The Chimera Group, LLC.Beeler began his career working for Peters Securities from 1995 to 2001, where he became a principal and trader.

Beeler received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers University in 1991.
